Can I use 5Kevents as my business name? You may not use 5Kevents as you “LEGAL” identity.  

Can I become a member and not order the timing package or other items? Yes, The additional items available for purchase are  to enhance your business. You are not required to purchase any product from us.

Trademarks: We authorize members limited use of our proprietary trademarks, service marks, trade names trade dress and  commercial symbols (collectively, the “Marks”).

Technology: Because we have our own I.T. staff, if you ever need changes or extra needs ; just ask. We can modify just about anything.

Restrictions: There is no obligation to provide all of the services and goods we offer. You are not limited in the person/organization to whom you may sell services and goods to. We do limit themed events to protected territories, however outside of the themed events, you are free to do business anywhere you would like. We encourage you to respect the clientele and territories of other 5Kevents.org members.

Do I have to be a member to purchase branded products: yes 

Is 5Kevents a Franchise? No, we are opt-in member based organization. There are NO royalties, advertising fees or franchise fees that typically burden business owners. Unlike franchises, you may cancel your membership at anytime.

Can I transfer  or sell my my membership? Yes. Renewals are subject to the listed annual renewal rate. BUT KEEP IN MIND: should you decide it’s time to retire, your business has value. That’s right! Most businesses sell for 2 to 3 times earnings plus assets. So let’s say your business profited an average of $75,000.00 each year over the last 3 to 5 years. To a buyer, your business is worth a minimum of  $225,000.00 plus assets. Your association with 5Kevents increases the value and the likelihood it will sell because it has a protected territory, your events are protected via trademark laws and because we offer training, you can sell your business to anyone with or without experience. The best part…we’ll help you sell it (Subject to broker fees)! That’s not a bad retirement plan!
